These Garlic Butter Steak Bites are a quick and flavorful halal-friendly meal, perfect for busy weeknights. Tender, juicy steak cubes are seared to perfection and coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, making them a family favorite. They are versatile, easy to prepare, and can be on the table in less than 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs Halal Certified Sirloin or Ribeye
4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 tbsp Olive Oil
45 cloves Garlic Cloves
1 tbsp Tamari (Halal Soy Sauce)
2 tbsp Fresh Parsley
To taste Salt and Black Pepper
1 tsp Lemon Juice

Instructions

  1. Pat your halal certified steak cubes completely dry with paper towels. Season them generously with salt and pepper. Dry meat ensures a better sear for your Garlic Butter Steak Bites
  2. Place a large cast-iron skillet or heavy frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and one tablespoon of butter. Wait until the butter is foaming and hot
  3. Add the steak cubes to the pan in a single layer. Do not crowd the pan! Work in batches if necessary. Let the Garlic Butter Steak Bites sear undisturbed for 2 minutes to develop a brown crust
  4. Toss the Garlic Butter Steak Bites and cook for another 1-2 minutes until they reach your desired level of doneness
  5. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the remaining three tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, tamari, and lemon juice to the pan with the Garlic Butter Steak Bites
  6. Stir everything together for about 1 minute. Ensure the garlic becomes fragrant but does not burn. Spoon that liquid gold over the Garlic Butter Steak Bites
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle fresh parsley over the Garlic Butter Steak Bites. Serve immediately!

Notes

Always bring your meat to room temperature before cooking. Cold meat causes the pan temperature to drop, which prevents that beautiful crust.

Use a cast-iron skillet if you have one, as it retains heat exceptionally well, vital for quick-searing.

Do not overcook the meat. Because the cubes are small, they cook very quickly. Aim for medium-rare to medium to keep them tender.

Let the Garlic Butter Steak Bites rest for just two or three minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute so every bite is moist and delicious.

Store cooled Garlic Butter Steak Bites in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to three days.

To reheat, use a skillet over medium heat with a tiny splash of halal beef broth or a small pat of butter. Cover the pan for a minute to let the steam warm them through without drying them out. Avoid the microwave if possible.

Leftovers make a fantastic addition to a breakfast hash or a steak salad the next day!
