These Garlic Butter Lobster Tails are a luxurious yet simple dish featuring tender, succulent lobster meat brushed with an aromatic garlic and herb butter sauce. This halal-friendly recipe is perfect for special occasions or a quick gourmet dinner that takes less than 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

4 (4-6 oz each) Lobster tails
0.5 cup Unsalted butter
45 cloves Fresh garlic
2 tablespoons Fresh parsley
2 tablespoons Lemon juice
0.5 teaspoon Smoked paprika
0.5 teaspoon Salt
0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
0.25 teaspoon Red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lobster Tails: Thaw frozen lobster tails completely. Using kitchen shears, cut through the top of the shell down the middle towards the tail fin. Gently open the shell, loosen the meat, and lift it through the opening to rest on top (butterflying). Rinse and pat thoroughly dry
  2. Make the Garlic Butter Mixture: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, parsley, paprika, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes
  3. Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil
  4. Brush with Garlic Butter: Arrange the butterflied lobster tails on the baking sheet. Generously brush the meat with about two-thirds of the garlic butter mixture
  5. Bake the Lobster Tails: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat turns opaque and firm (internal temperature should reach 140-145°F). Avoid overcooking
  6. Serve Immediately: Remove from the oven and drizzle the remaining garlic butter over the cooked meat. Garnish with extra parsley if desired

Notes

Ensure the lobster meat is as dry as possible before cooking to ensure proper flavor absorption.

Avoid overcooking as lobster becomes rubbery and tough; use a meat thermometer for accuracy.

For a slightly caramelized finish, you can place the tails under the broiler for 1-2 minutes after baking.

If fresh parsley is unavailable, use 1 tablespoon of dried parsley as a substitute.
