Ingredients

Scale

4 Halal chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
1 tbsp Olive oil
1 small Onion, finely diced
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 cup Halal chicken broth
½ cup Crème fraîche (or plain whole milk yogurt)
2 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp Dried thyme
To taste Salt
To taste Black pepper
Optional Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the halal chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside
  3. Sauté Aromatics: Reduce heat to medium. Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and dried thyme, cooking for another minute until fragrant
  4. Deglaze and Simmer: Pour in the halal chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly
  5. Create Creamy Sauce: Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the crème fraîche (or yogurt) and chopped fresh parsley. Whisk until smooth and fully combined
  6. Combine and Serve: Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over them. Garnish with fresh lemon slices if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy these delicious Dinner Meals With Chicken!

Notes

Always pat chicken dry before searing for a golden crust.

Don't overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if needed for even searing.

Remove pan from heat before stirring in crème fraîche/yogurt to prevent curdling.

Fresh herbs make a difference; use them if possible.

Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; gently reheat.

Creamy sauce may separate if frozen; best enjoyed fresh or refrigerated.

Pairs well with rice, quinoa, couscous, steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.
