It's a flavorful, protein-packed dish designed for carnivore-focused diets or anyone craving a substantial meal, easily made for busy weeknights yet special enough for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

2 pounds Halal Certified Ground Beef (80/20)
1 large Onion, finely chopped
4 cloves Garlic, minced
2 cups Halal Beef Broth
2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/2 cup Crème Fraîche or Plain Full-Fat Yogurt
2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: Heat a large Dutch oven or heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat. Add the halal certified ground beef. Break it apart with a spoon and cook until fully browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Reduce heat to medium. Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened and translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant
  3. Build Flavor: Stir in the tomato paste, smoked paprika, onion powder, and dried thyme. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, to toast the spices and deepen their flavor
  4. Simmer and Reduce: Pour in the halal beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld beautifully
  5. Finish with Creaminess: Remove from heat. Stir in the crème fraîche or plain full-fat yogurt until fully incorporated and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste
  6. Serve: Garnish your delightful Carnivore Comfort Food with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot

Notes

Thoroughly brown the ground beef for amazing depth of flavor; don't rush this step.

Deglaze the pan with beef broth, scraping up all those delicious browned bits from the bottom, as they are flavor powerhouses.

Let the stew simmer for at least 20 minutes, or even longer if time permits, for richer, more satisfying flavors.

Always taste and adjust your seasoning before serving for the perfect balance.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days; the flavors often deepen overnight.

To reheat, gently warm portions on the stovetop over low heat, stirring occasionally, or in a microwave in 1-minute intervals.

This dish freezes wonderfully; transfer cooled portions to freezer-safe containers and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
