Ingredients

Scale

1 Large Head Fresh Cauliflower
3/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Teaspoon Smoked Paprika
1/2 Cup Halal Chicken Broth
1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
1/2 Cup Halal-Friendly Hot Sauce
2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
To Taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by washing the cauliflower head thoroughly and cutting it into medium-sized uniform florets
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper
  3. Slowly pour in the halal chicken broth, stirring until the batter becomes smooth and thick
  4. Toss the cauliflower florets into the batter, ensuring every nook and cranny is thoroughly covered
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C)
  6. Place the coated florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes, shaking halfway through
  7. While the cauliflower cooks, mix the lemon juice, halal-friendly hot sauce, and melted butter in a small bowl
  8. Remove the cauliflower from the air fryer and place it in a clean bowl
  9. Pour the sauce over the florets and toss gently to coat
  10. Return the cauliflower to the air fryer for another 5 minutes to caramelize the sauce
  11. Plate and serve immediately while hot and crispy

Notes

All ingredients must be halal certified to maintain the integrity of the dish.

For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with chickpea flour.

Never overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary to maintain crunch.

Ensure the cauliflower is completely dry before dipping in batter to avoid sogginess.

To reheat, use the air fryer at 350°F for 4-5 minutes; avoid the microwave or freezing.
