½ cup Unsalted butter
2 Large eggs
¾ cup Whole milk
1 ½ teaspoons Vanilla extract
1 cup Unsalted butter (for frosting)
34 cups Powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (for frosting)
23 tablespoons Heavy cream or milk
Food coloring (optional)
Sprinkles, edible glitter, fresh berries, small candies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your bento cake pans
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together sifted flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each additio
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, and mix until just combined. Stir in vanilla extract
  6. Divide the batter among the prepared pans and bake for 20-25 minutes
  7. Cool cakes in pans for 10-15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely
  8. Prepare frosting by creaming softened butter and gradually adding powdered sugar and milk until desired consistency is reached
  9. Once cakes are cool, assemble layers with frosting in between and frost the top and sides
  10. Decorate with sprinkles, fresh berries, or other desired decorations
