1 ½ cups All-purpose flour
1 cup Granulated sugar
1 ½ teaspoons Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Unsalted butter
2 Large eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
¾ cup Whole milk
15–20 Oreo cookies
1 cup Unsalted butter (for frosting)
3–4 cups Powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (for frosting)
2–3 tablespoons Heavy cream or milk
8–10 Oreo cookies (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cake pans
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl
- Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla extract
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and milk, alternating between them until just combined
- Fold in crushed Oreos
- Divide batter between the prepared pans and bake for 20-25 minutes
- Cool the cake layers completely
- Prepare Oreo buttercream by beating butter, then incorporating powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream
- Assemble the cake, layering and frosting with Oreo buttercream
- Decorate with additional crushed Oreos
