These adorable banana ghosts transform fresh bananas into healthy Halloween snacks using chocolate chip eyes for spooky fun that kids love.

Ingredients

  • 6 large ripe bananas, firm but sweet
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 24 mini dark chocolate chips
  • 12 pretzel sticks (optional for stands)
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips, melted (optional)

 

  • 2 tablespoons coconut flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Peel bananas and cut each in half crosswise to create 12 pieces.
  • Brush all cut surfaces immediately with fresh lemon juice.
  • Trim bottom of each banana half to create flat standing surface.
  • Gently press two mini chocolate chips into each banana for ghost eyes.
  • Optional: brush with melted white chocolate and sprinkle with coconut.
  • Insert pretzel sticks into bottom for standing support if desired.

 

  • Arrange on serving platter and serve immediately or refrigerate up to 2 hours.
